Three days of Vibrancy, Family and Fun
Amrisha and Karan celebrated their union late last year with three whole days of vibrant colours, incredible food and lashings of love. After having to cut their guests from three hundred to thirty due to covid, they went all out to make sure it was the best three days of their life. Their family and friends were treated to a spectacular do encompassing a Sangeet, a traditional ceremony at the Gurdwara and a humanist ceremony, planned for their first anniversary of attending the burning man festival in the Nevada desert.
Traditional Values, Modern Couple
These two, the epitome of a modern couple beautifully honouring their traditional Sikh values, threw an incredible party full of fun, laughter and love and I’ll never forget the three days I spent with them down in London for their epic celebrations.
Now I’m no stranger to Asian wedding celebrations and I just love the family togetherness and unity of seeing the couple celebrated so much but I’d never been to London before to capture the videography, so I set off by car, mentally preparing myself for the fun and beauty I was going to see over the wedding week. All three ceremonies were celebrated in family gardens and the decorations were insane! Amrisha wore different bridal lehengas for each event and she looked stunning in each one. I was in awe of the colourful patterns and flowing fabrics, a videographer’s dream!
Love, Laughter, Light
It was easy to capture the love and family vibes because there was just so much of it to go around. The Milni Ceremony about joining the two families was especially lovely and it was a privilege to be able to document this for Amrisha and Karan.
There were incredible dance routines performed, amazing music (it does help that Amrisha is a DJ!) and the best street food I’ve ever tasted. There was dancing under the stars, sparklers and some of the most beautiful wedding locations I’ve ever seen. What an unbelievable week of love, laughter and light. Thank you so much Amrisha and Karan and all of your families and friends for letting me be a part of your incredible celebrations.
