Wharfedale Grange Leeds Wedding Videography

May 17, 2021

This was the first time I’d shot videography at Wharfedale Grange wedding venue in Leeds and I must say, I loved every second of it. There are so many quirky touches that make for amazing filming at the popular West Yorkshire venue so when Megan and David invited me down to film their Christmas themed winter wedding, I was really excited to be there.

Wharfedale looked incredible when I arrived, white peacocks perched in the ceiling beams and twinkly Christmassy fairy lights complimented the sequinned bridesmaid’s dresses perfectly. There was such a magical feeling about the whole day from start to finish.

I hung out in the bridal prep room (accessed by a secret mirror door!) with Megan and her girls whilst they were pampered by makeup artist Daryl Jade and had their hair expertly teased by Hair by Hannah Taylor. There was so much laughter as they got excited about the day. Then it was time to go down to where the ceremony would take place in the main barn to capture David’s reaction as he saw his beautiful bride, walked in by her dad for the first time.

A Donkey in a Flower Crown!

After a few readings from friends and family, Megan and David said their I do’s and they were married! I loved the wall of fairy lights behind them that just added to the wintery vibe and made the best backdrop as they walked back down the aisle as a married couple.

Megan donned a white faux fur stole to brave the crisp cold as they walked outside under a cascade of confetti, and even the donkey who turned up to say hello at the reception was wearing a flower crown of white roses, matching Megan’s gorgeous bouquet by florist Petals in the wind.

Speeches were hilarious, and I learnt all about how Megan almost burnt down David’s flat when she moved in! The entire room was crying with laughter for the majority of the speeches and it was hard to film without losing it myself! Then suddenly it was time for dancing and yet more confetti in the form of a confetti canon as the cake was cut and friends and family danced the night away.

Sparkly, Christmassy Vibes All Around

Hats off to them, Wharfdale Grange had gone all out on the Christmas decorations and it made the wedding so special, especially for the videography. Sparkly snowflake style decorations hung from the roof and a giant Christmas tree in the corner completed the look. I don’t think I’ve been to a more wintery wedding. I can’t wait to shoot there again, especially if the next lucky couple have a day even half as special as Megan and David’s. What an amazing day! Thanks for having me and congratulations to the bride and groom.
